Claire founded The Canine Clinic in 2020, following years of experience working in veterinary practice and specialising in canine rehabilitation in both Ireland and overseas.
She has a particular interest in movement, recovery, and long-term wellbeing, and is known for her calm, intuitive approach to handling dogs. Claire is dedicated to creating a clinical environment where every dog is treated with the highest level of care, respect, and individual attention.
Through The Canine Clinic, she has built a trusted centre for rehabilitation and wellness, combining clinical expertise with a genuinely compassionate approach to care.

Leonie Barry
Leonie is a registered veterinary nurse and qualified canine physiotherapist with specialist training in rehabilitation and hydrotherapy. Alongside her role at The Canine Clinic, she works in a busy veterinary hospital, bringing extensive experience in surgical and orthopaedic care.
She is known for her calm, patient-led approach, ensuring every dog feels safe and supported throughout their recovery.

Amy Lucey
Amy qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2019 and became a Canine Hydrotherapist in 2023, completing her training at The Canine Clinic. She is passionate about supporting dogs through recovery, helping them regain strength, confidence, and comfort through tailored hydrotherapy.
Alongside this, she continues to work as a Veterinary Nurse, bringing a compassionate and clinically informed approach to every patient.

Sarah Cowhig
Sarah is a qualified Veterinary Nurse (2015) and certified Canine Hydrotherapist (2024) with a strong interest in rehabilitation and holistic mobility care. Alongside her role at The Canine Clinic, she works at Abbeyville Veterinary Hospital, gaining valuable experience with surgical and orthopaedic patients.
She is passionate about involving owners in their dog’s recovery and is committed to ongoing CPD to maintain the highest standards of care.

Emer Kelly
Emer is a highly experienced dog groomer with almost 14 years of expertise across a wide range of breeds and coat types. She holds QQI Level 5 and 6 qualifications in Animal Husbandry and Dog Grooming from St. John’s Central College, Cork.
Known for her calm, therapeutic handling style, Emer works with gentle, patient-led techniques that prioritise each dog’s comfort and trust. Her deep understanding of skin, coat care, and individual needs ensures every dog receives a tailored, low-stress grooming experience.
